A brave battle against grief, anger and injustice. “Nakauwi Na” follows Mang Jerry as he finds ways to earn enough money to get his son, a victim of extra judicial killings, out of the funeral home.

MARVIN CABANGUNAY recently graduated Cum Laude with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Colegio de San Juan de Letran. His past works have competed in different interschool competitions and have received awards in various film festivals like Adamson's Realifim, SineTomasino, UP Piling Obra at Video and 28th Gawad CCP Para saAlternatibongPelikula at Video.
 
JAYNUS BARBEE OLAIVAR is a newly graduate from Colegio De San Juan De Letran. She finished Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Ever since high school she has been a fan of local cinema especially independent films. One of her advocacy in life is to promote Philippine cinema. Her film nakauwina ,co directed with Marvin Cabangunay, is actually a requirement for a film class. The concept is actually inspired by true stories of the victims of extrajudicial killings. The directors dedicate this film to EJK victims who didn’t get the justice they deserve.
