Entries for the New Breed Full Length Feature and Directors Showcase of the 2013 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Competition are now being accepted at the CCP Media Arts Division.    DEADLINE IS SETPEMBER 11, 2012.

Interested participants must submit the following requirements on or before 6:00 PM on September 11, 2012 (Tuesday) to the Media Arts Division of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City:

  • Duly accomplished 2012 Entry Form
  • Synopsis in Filipino or English (1 page, 12 pts font size, not more than 300 words)
  • Detailed sequence treatment (between 50 – 60 sequences, double space, 12 pts Courier, letter-sized bond paper, 1 inch margin all around)
  • Resume of proponent
  • Two (2) recent photos of proponent (2inx2in)
  • Samples of previous works (e.g. short films, etc.) in DVD format

All entries must be submitted in a long brown envelope properly labelled with proponent’s name, title and contact details. The sheets containing the synopsis and detailed sequence treatment must not bear the name of the proponent.

Only entries by Filipino filmmakers who have not yet directed more than three full-length, commercially released feature films will be accepted to the New Breed Full-length Feature category. The Directors Showcase category shall be open to directors who have directed at least three full feature films that were released commercially.

Cinemalaya is an all-digital film competition that aims to discover, encourage, and support the cinematic works of Filipino filmmakers that boldly articulate and freely interpret the Filipino experience with fresh insight and artistic integrity.   It is a project of the Cinemalaya Foundation, Inc.,in partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and Econolink Investments, Inc. (EEI).   It is held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Greenbelt 3 and Trinoma.  It will feature film exhibitions, seminars, the Cinemalaya Independent Film Congress and other film-related events.
